YES to both of those. I have a johnny cash song (technically it was nine inch nails but he covered it, his version of Hurt) tattooed on my arm, the music notes from the first few measures. I love sharing these gems. Thank you. 💎
They don't stop time... not exactly... but, if you focus and intend, they will allow you switch or jump timelines.... And one of them seems to be a Mandela....
(Use wisely, especially right now... meditate and focus on the reality you WANT to move your consciousness into. Do not bring physical objects to yourself. Move your consciousness to a timeline where the conditions you want to bring to you already exist - and shift there.....)
More along the lines of your question... this song starts out with the highs and lows cut to make it seem like the sound texture is old, distant, reedy, a little gritty, but still kind of gauzy and ephemeral....
When the highs and lows flood back in, the effect is like rushing through time back into the modern era. The first time I heard it, I completely lost my breath. And, for some reason, it reminded me of the book South of the Border, West of the Sun by Haruki Murakami, which I highly recommend....
I still have not made my way through all of these. I clicked the bottom one immediately and it changed my entire day, the morning you sent this to me. just wanted to report that back that I'm still absorbing that ... incredible piece that brought tears to my eyes immediately. ethereal. This is one of the best holiday gifts one can give.
That's how I felt when I first heard it. Oddly enough, I was in a salon in NYC and one of the stylists had connected her iPod to the sound system running through the building. When this came on, I stopped and sat straight up with tears in my eyes - I immediately asked to know who the band was. One of my favorites of all time ever since. The singer on this track is Angela McCluskey. Look up her work. You will adore her. ❤️🥰❤️
So many come to mind. This was the first song/video that alerted me to the fact as a young kid that people can be unfairly jailed based on political beliefs or principles. I was into hip hop at a young age and this song and the album it appeared on blew my ears and mind wide open. Definitely was a game changer for me at a young age. Also, if I ever end up a political prisoner or locked up with a few other warriors Gulag Archipelago style, this should be the rally song. Actually including the video cause it was dope. Love that Skip James btw.
Great tunage, as always 🥰
Nearly anything by Johnny Cash does me in (though, "I See A Darkness" chills me), along with Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb."

Well, I dreamed I saw the knights
In armor coming
Saying something about a queen
There were peasants singing and
Drummers drumming
And the archer split the tree
There was a fanfare blowing
To the sun
That was floating on the breeze
Look at Mother Nature on the run
In the 1970s
Look at Mother Nature on the run
In the 1970s
I was lying in a burned out basement
With the full moon in my eyes
I was hoping for replacement
When the sun burst through the sky
There was a band playing in my head
And I felt like getting high
I was thinking about what a friend had said
I was hoping it was a lie
Thinking about what a friend had said
I was hoping it was a lie
Well, I dreamed I saw the silver
Spaceships flying
In the yellow haze of the sun
There were children crying
And colors flying
All around the chosen ones
All in a dream, all in a dream
The loading had begun
Flying Mother Nature's
Silver seed to a new home in the sun
Flying Mother Nature's
Silver seed to a new home
Skip James always gives me chills. There’s something about his voice and soul-baring guitar... Wonderful.
An early holiday gift for you, Tess....
I have a set of songs that connect with a portal.

Excellent. Blues are the best.
