Hello friends,
Many of you might remember my dearest friend Chelsea. I’ve written about her several times on Substack, and I’ve also shared a podcast episode her and I did two years ago:
Chelsea and I both got sober in November of 2009. In a matter of days/weeks, we’ll both be celebrating 15 years of freedom from addiction and alcoholism.
However, that is not what this post is about.
My friend / soul-sister Chelsea and her community are struggling to maintain their place on the land they’re on. I will not disclose any personal information, but she’s my girl, and she started a gofundme to help her and her landmates stay on the land, as they have come upon hard times. And for anyone wondering, yes, all of them work / have jobs. Sometimes SHTF regardless.
I personally just venmo’d her money to help because gofundme doesn’t send the person doing the fundraiser any of the money unless the entire goal is met - and I wanted her to get what I was able to give quickly. However, if you’re more comfortable with a GoFundMe versus venmo’ing someone, I’ll include links for both.
I know everyone is going through a lot but who would I be if I did not sound the alarm for those who are in a position to assist, to assist, if they are called to — especially for someone I love this much.
We live across the country from one another now, I in Florida and she back in Oregon, otherwise I could be of greater use other than just sending money and writing a post on Substack, but this is the most I can do for right now. I love you all, and if you feel called, I’ll give the donation information below.
You can hear Chelsea’s story in the video above. That was recorded in 2022. She has survived an incredible amount in life, both before recovery and during recovery, and similar to how I re-started my life a year ago when I came to Florida, she is walking along the same roads now, and doing an incredible job.
Much love.

Thanks yall. Love you. I have something coming for you soon, just wanted to get this out there first. ❤️
