How To Make Betrayal A Blessing
The more it hurts, the more potent the possibility for an inner, and outer, revolution...
Note: That is not me in the picture. I found it on Pinterest.
In this quick entry, we are going to talk about a different kind of death.
The death of the living.
More commonly known as loss.
This can come in the form of hard boundaries, discord, and betrayal.
We’re going to discuss that moment when something hurts so badly and has you questioning God itself, until that faint but familiar feeling sneaks in.
The feeling is a memory. We can call it the fairy of rock bottom I suppose. It reminds you of every other time you’ve felt like you’ve been emotionally gutted or things keep pummeling you and does not make sense.
Every. Single. Time. That has ever happened in the past…
It has been the bedrock for a new foundation of a new life.
And the new life is ALWAYS better than anything we knew before… but the price of admission? Pain. Loss. Death.
Death of our former selves, death of many things.
This is also where I throw up the paywall, because things are about to get a little personal. This simply prevents “anyone on the internet” from viewing what I’m about to write. As I’ve said before, I know who the paid subscribers are on this list, and I’m comfortable with them reading what I’m about to write. Some random person who finds this substack in a google search though? Not so much. If you are already a free subscriber and want to join this conversation, you can subscribe for as little as $7 a month. If you live in California, I’m pretty sure that’s like a gallon of gas.
Okay, this is where we part ways, unless you are a monthly patron. Love you.
If you don’t want to upgrade your subscription… I don’t know that I’ll get into what I’m about to say here, but I am doing a podcast tomorrow with an amazing woman here in Nashville that I think has a lot to offer the community, so be on the lookout for that.
If you live in Nashville, I’m performing in a Hip-Hop Cypher on 4/23 at Bonafyde, and I’d love to see you there. XO
