community event space needs your help
in the name of art, freedom and community action - can you help with this?
Hey everyone, quick post but I wanted to send this out to as many people as I can.
There’s a beautiful event space in St Pete, Florida called Roots to Crown. They hold events ranging from sacred ceremonies, concerts, open mics for poets and musicians, songwriter workshops, yoga classes (including kundalini yoga), sound healing events, drum workshops, permaculture events, community meditations, the list goes on.
They also offer their event space up for people in the community to host their own events, and host concerts from national independent artists who are spreading a message of consciousness, freedom and empowerment.
They’re struggling to keep their doors open right now - which isn’t a surprise to anyone who has to pay rent in general, but owning a building on the Gulf Coast of Florida - that is far from cheap, and they aren’t exactly charging “oceanside prices” for events, so this is a chance to give back what has been given - they’ve hosted over a thousand workshops and classes for the community, I’d love to see that continue.
In my experience, places like this are incredibly valuable to not just the local community, but people all throughout the country, as musicians / permaculture experts / sound healers / yogis / poets can come through and share their works with others.
If you feel inclined to support a space like this, whether you are in Florida or not, I’m going to include all the ways to donate in this post. Anything helps, even if its $5.
If you are local to the area, definitely stop by and hit one of their upcoming events (and let me know if you’re going!)
If any fundraising events get organized in the small time frame left, I will post about those as well.
This is their post from their instagram account. If you’d like to go directly to their website, you may do so at this link.

Done!
Shared. Next time you go up there let me know. I didn't even know it existed as I don't leave Hillsborough that much and have an interest in the open mic stuff along with concerts.
