Ajai Alai: A Mantra and Ode to The Divine
A tool to help those suffering from depression, anger and grief
Ajai Alai is a mantra used to alleviate depression, anger and grief. It was passed on to me a few years ago, on the anniversary of my former fiance’s passing. I wasn’t sleeping, and felt like I was reliving the day we found out he had passed all over again.
This mantra brought me peace, a sense of protection, calmed my anxiety, and continues to do so today.
Ajai Alai was written by Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh Guru. These words are an ode to the Divine.
“This world is in a lot of pain. People are going crazy and these Jaap Sahib Chands (verses) are the tool to help them out of their depression and anger.
This is what is required NOW.
We need to penetrate the hearts of everyone so they can feel hope and love again.”
—
“Whenever you are in trouble mentally or you are being attacked in one way or another, chant these words and opposition will dissolve in your face.”
Yogi Bhajan
